ISLAMABAD: A delegation of the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) met with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman on Friday.
The delegation included Ijaz-ul-Haq, Kazim Khan, Mohsin Bilal Khan, Muhammad Ali Butt and Ijaz Bhutta.
The delegation apprised FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial and Member Inland Revenue Policy Dr Najeeb Memon of the difficulties and complications faced by the broadcasting industry due to the removal of the facility of sales tax withholding adjustment from the online sales tax return form.
The delegation also informed the FBR that the change on the FBR portal is causing an extraordinary financial burden on the broadcasting industry.
The FBR chairman directed the concerned officers to immediately resolve the issue arising due to the change in sales tax return form on the online portal.
The PBA delegation thanked the FBR chairman and his team for rescuing the industry from financial loss.
