A teenage boy lost his life and another was wounded in celebratory aerial firing during a wedding in Keamari’s Gulshan-e- Sikandarabad area on Friday. Both the groom and the suspect who opened fire fled the scene, while police detained four suspects for questioning.

Aerial firing occurred during the wedding of a man named Shehzad in the jurisdiction of the Jackson Police Station. Two boys, aged 13 and 9, were critically injured. The 13-year-old boy, Malik, son of Zahid, succumbed to his injuries on the way to a private hospital. The nine-year-old Abrar, son of Jan Muhammad, remains in critical condition.

Police arrived at the scene and visited the hospital after receiving information. Malik’s body was later moved from the private hospital to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for further procedures.

According to SHO Mithal Sher, initial investigations sowed that Izzat Khan, who works at a tandoor, was firing shots during the celebration. The groom's father reportedly tried to stop him and others from firing, but his warnings were ignored. After the incident, Izzat Khan and several others fled, including the groom, Shehzad.
