LAKKI MARWAT: The month-long training on modern teaching methodologies got underway at the University of Science and Technology Bannu on Friday. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Safdar Rehman Ghazi inaugurated the month-long training aimed at enhancing the professional capabilities of faculty and teaching staff.
On the occasion, Dr Safdar Rehman Ghazi expressed his gratitude to HEC and its team, emphasizing that this training would equip the university’s teaching staff with advanced skills, besides enabling students from Bannu and surrounding region to meet international educational standards.
Prof Dr Ishtiaq Hassan from the International Islamic University Islamabad will conduct the sessions for the first two days. Other notable attendees included Prof Dr Sultan Mahmood from Bannu University, HEC Islamabad Assistant Director Ghulam Murtaza Goraya, program focal person Dr Fahad Nawaz and senior members of the teaching faculty.
The training programme will feature educational experts from prestigious universities across the country, who will train Bannu University’s faculty to align with modern academic demands.Meanwhile, Additional Assistant Commissioner, Lakki Marawat, Muhammad Abid visited bazaars and markets on Friday following the directives of Deputy Commissioner Zeeshan Abdullah.
He checked the availability of the official price list and its implementation by traders. The additional AC imposed heavy fines on violators and warned that the shopkeepers involved in illegal acts of artificial price hike, profiteering and hoarding would also face imprisonment.
