Islamabad:The Silk Road Culture Centre Pakistan (SRCC) is set to make its grand debut here next Tuesday (December 10), heralding a new chapter in cultural exchange and diplomacy in the region.
The initiative will transform cultural exchange and diplomacy in the region, according to SRCC chairman and noted artist and filmmaker Jamal Shah. "This ground-breaking platform celebrates the rich tapestry of cultures that converge along the historic Silk Road, while reinforcing Pakistan's commitment to global harmony and mutual understanding," Shah told 'The News'.
He said the SRCC was an embodiment of Pakistan’s dedication to strengthening bonds with countries it had signed cultural agreements with.
The SRCC chairman said by showcasing shared heritage, fostering creativity, and hosting collaborative events, the centre would play a pivotal role in deepening ties and facilitating meaningful cultural interactions.
He said the centre would promote cultural diplomacy by providing foreign embassies and cultural missions with the chance to showcase their respective art, traditions, and heritage in a collaborative environment, fostering mutual respect and understanding. Shah said the SRCC stood as the first-of-its-kind private-sector initiative in the country dedicated to promoting international art and culture.
