Noted social figure passes away

PESHAWAR: A noted social figure, Major (retired) Syed Sultan Hussain Shah, passed away here on Thursday. The funeral prayer was offered in Hayatabad town and he was laid to rest at the local graveyard. People from various walks of life attended the last funeral rites of the deceased.Rasm-e-Qul will be offered on Saturday noon at the family residence, House No 10, Street No 8, Sector J2, Phase 2, Hayatabad.

The deceased was the brother of Lt-Col (retired) Syed GB Shah Bukhari, husband of former MNA Dr Imtiaz Bukhari, and father of Dr Syed Imran Shah.Other aggrieved members of the family are Engineer Syed Zahir Shah, federal secretary Syed Zaffar Ali Shah, former Add IGP Syed Akhar Ali Shah, Dr Syed Haider Ali Shah, Brigadier Syed Abid Ali Shah, Maqsood Shah, Dr Syed Daud Bukhari, Syed Ahmad Shah, Additional Sessions Judges Nusrat Ayaz, and Riffat Aamir.
