KP revenue surges by 51pc, says CM aide
PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister for Finance and Inter-provincial coordination, Muzammil Aslam, on Thursday said that there had been a 51percent increase in tax revenue for November 2024.
Speaking at a gathering, he said that revenue rose from Rs. 2,908 million in November 2023 to Rs 4,412 million in the same month this year. He further noted that overall revenues for the period from July to November 2024 experienced a significant growth of 45.6 percent, increasing from Rs 13,480 million last year to Rs 19,640 million this year.
Aslam attributed this growth to enhanced cess rates, improved royalties, and streamlined online collection mechanisms. “We anticipate further increases in non-tax revenue, supported by higher compliance and continued reforms,” he added.
