ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Wednesday approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC), challenging cases filed against him in connection with a protest at D-Chowk.
The petitioner requested the court to remove clauses of the Anti-Terrorism Act from the case.
The chief minister filed the petition through his lawyer, Haji Ajmal Khan Mehmand. In the plea, it was argued that the protest was a constitutional right, but a terrorism case was unjustly registered against him.He further requested the court to suspend the application of terrorism-related clauses until a final judgment is delivered.
