Saim, Rayyan, Abdullah in KL Junior Squash Open pre-quarters
KARACHI: Pakistan’s M Saim, Rayyan Bahadur, and Abdullah Zaman reached the pre-quarterfinals at REDtone KL Junior Squash Open in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Wednesday.
In the under-9 category, M Rayyan thrashed Malaysia’s Lagnesh Shai Dharshan 11-0, 11-4, 11-0 in the second round. Now, he will face Zubidi Amir from Malaysia in the third round. In the under-11 category, M Saim Ahora beat Firozi from Iran 11-9, 11-7, 11-2 in the third round. Now, he is up against Szeto Joans from Hong Kong in the fourth round.
In the under-15 category, Rayyan Bahdur overpowered Ravi Kumar from Malaysia 11-6, 9-11, 12-14, 11-5, 11-7 in the second round and defeated Zhang Hao from Malaysia 11-8, 11-7, 13-11 in the third round. Now, he is drawn against Ruthiran Vidhuran from Malaysia in the fourth round.
In the under-17 category, Abdullah Zaman lost to Ravi Kumar from Malaysia 11-2, 7-11, 6-11, 9-11 in the third round. In the under-19 category, Tariq Kumail was beaten by Akhani M Saleh from Iran 15-17, 8-11, 9-11 in the second round.
