ISLAMABAD: PPP Secretary General Senator Taj Haider Tuesday said the announcement of Election Commission of Pakistan about the number of registered voters in the country had once again exposed the fraud that had been done in the latest national census.
“The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced 132,254,310 as the number of registered voters (registered population of persons with the NIC above 18 years of age with a gender gap of 10 million votes). This figure of 10 million should be added to the figure of the registered voters,” he said in a statement.
He said the Nadra had missed another three percent of the population (151 million) which they had not registered as yet. He argued that the population figure of 240 million was an obvious deception since it meant that less than 90 million was the number of persons below the age of 18.
Senator Taj Haider said in every country, the number of persons below 18 years was a major part of population by big margin.
“How is it that in Pakistan almost 60 percent of population is aged above 18 years and 40 percent is below that age?” he asked.
He said it was high time that we stopped deceiving ourselves. “If we don’t have our basic figure correct than all our plans go haywire,” he warned.
