LAKKI MARWAT: Awareness walks were held in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts on Tuesday to mark the anti-corruption week.
In Lakki Marwat, Deputy Commissioner Zeeshan Abdullah led a walk at the District Headquarters Complex Tajazai, which was attended by additional deputy commissioners Sikandar Khan, Najibullah Khan and Habibullah Wazir, government officials and civil society activists. The participants were carrying banners inscribed with anti-corruption messages.
The education department with support of the Boy Scouts Association also held an awareness walk in Lakki city to raise awareness against corruption. Assistant Commissioner Yasir Nazir led the walk, which started from the Government Shaheed Muhammad Ghassan Khan Centennial Model High School No 1 Lakki and culminated at Kargil Chowk on the main bus stop.
Teachers, students, boy scouts, schools’ heads and ESED officials participated. Zeeshan and the assistant commissioner said on the occasion that eradicating corruption was inevitable for economic stability and prosperity in the country.
