This letter refers to the article ‘The era of old politics is over’ (November 29, 2024) by Suhail Warraich. In my view, the PTI and the PPP are the future of Pakistan politics. The people have made such a high emotional investment in these two parties that their demise would be unnatural.
In the ensuing tug of war, the elements which have lost most ground are PM Shehbaz Sharif and co. Any attempt to launch a new party will be met with the people’s contempt.
