DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A cop was martyred by terrorists near Mardan Bridge in the Pir Ashab area in the jurisdiction of Paharpur Police Station.Later, the funeral prayer for Head Constable Mir Ghulam was offered at Ijaz Shaheed Police Lines in Dera Ismail Khan.
Regional Police Officer Jahanzeb Nazir Khan, District Police Chief Nasir Mehmood, SSP Security Abdul Samad, SP Couter-Terrorim Department Syed Iftikhar Shah, other police officials and the family members of the martyred cop attended the funeral prayer.
A smartly turned-out police contingent presented the salute and the police officials laid floral wreaths on the coffin.Police officials expressed condolences to the family of the martyred cop and assured them that the culprits would soon be brought to justice.
