LAHORE: The World Blind Cricket Council (WBCC) has revoked India's hosting rights for the next year's Women's Blind Cricket World Cup. The decision was taken during a meeting held in Multan on Monday.
This move comes after India's refusal to send its team to Pakistan for the ongoing Men's T20 World Cup and to issue visas to Pakistan team for the 2022 Blind Cricket World Cup. The WBCC expressed concerns over political tensions between the two countries. “This decision by the WBCC is seen as a strong stance against politicising sports. It ensures fair play and equal opportunities for all participating nations,” stated an official of the council.
