Youth urged to work for positive change in society
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has urged the youth to acquire modern education and work for the positive change in the society.
Conferring community leadership award on a young university graduate Muhammad Haris Karim at the Governor’s House, he said the youth should come up with innovative ideas for shaping out the society and should use their talent for a positive change among young people towards building a just and pluralistic society.
“To instill the spirit for reading books among youth was one main objective through monthly study circles, which I believe would motivate quite a large number of college and university graduates,” Governor Kundi opined.
He urged the youth to work for the welfare of people through creative initiatives.Team members of a youth activists group attended the event titled ‘Future Youth Conference’.Muhammad Karim, chief of Peshawar Circles Enlight Lab, a not-for-profit organisation while speaking on the occasion said his award was a tribute to all those young people, who had contributed to the mission ‘give me books, not guns’ since the launch of Peshawar Circles Enlighten Lab four years ago.
Muhammad Karim, head PCEL is an ardent advocate for youth empowerment and intellectual engagement. He completed his college education at Islamia College Peshawar and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Peshawar.
Haris has played a pivotal role in motivating young people to engage in positive activities, including fostering a culture of dialogue and intellectual exchange through study circles.“With a focus on intellectual growth and community engagement, Peshawar Circle strives to inspire a new generation of leaders by fostering a love for books and dialogue. Through this initiative, young people are encouraged to think critically, share diverse perspectives, and build a stronger, more connected community,” the activist observed.
