LAKKI MARWAT: A police official was martyred when militants attacked a police station in Darra Pezu area late Saturday night. Police identified the martyred cop as Kiramatullah and said that he fought bravely and embraced martyrdom in the exchange of fire which continued for one hour.
They said that the cops responded bravely and forced the assailants to flee. Funeral prayers for the deceased policeman were offered at the police lines attended by DPO Rahim Hussain and other government officials. Later the martyred cop was laid to rest at a graveyard in Paharkhel area with state honours.
