Islamabad:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has issued directives to enhance security protocols and expedite the arrest of fugitives during a meeting held at the Central Police Office in Islamabad.

The meeting, aimed at maintaining peace, improving investigative procedures, and addressing pending cases, was attended by senior police officials, including DIG Headquarters and Security Jawad Tariq, AIG Establishment Abdul Haq Umrani, and AIG Investigation and Complaints Syed Inayat Ali Shah. IGP Rizvi reviewed the investigation processes and directed officers to modernize and streamline procedures to ensure merit-based and timely resolutions of ongoing cases. He emphasized utilizing advanced techniques to strengthen the investigation wing and tighten the net around fugitives and criminal elements.

“The goal is to equip the investigation system to meet modern demands, resolve cases promptly, and eliminate crime from society,” Rizvi stated. He further highlighted the importance of handling cases efficiently to enhance public trust in law enforcement. IGP Rizvi called for bolstering security across Islamabad, particularly at entry and exit points, through stringent checks and improved surveillance.
