Islamabad:Mazhar Thathal, Chairman and CEO of the Global Trade Expo Centre Pakistan, held a productive meeting with Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Minister of Trade and Commerce, at the Ministry of Commerce office in Islamabad. The discussions focused on advancing Pakistan’s global trade prospects and creating new opportunities for the country’s business community, says a press release.

A significant topic of discussion was the MDR (Medical Device Regulation) license for Pakistani surgical exporters. Both parties emphasised the urgency of simplifying and expediting the licensing process, which would enhance market access for Pakistani surgical goods and medical devices in Europe and beyond. Minister Jam Kamal Khan underscored the importance of adhering to international quality standards to improve the competitiveness of Pakistan’s medical and surgical sector globally.
