Wedding hall owner booked

OKARA: City A-Division police on Sunday booked the wedding hall owner for Saturday’s incident in which a marriage participant was killed in a roof collapse.
The case was registered against hall owner Rana Muhammad Aslam under Section 322 of the PPC on the report of the deceased’s husband. On Saturday, Rohi Amjad of Shadman Colony was entering the marriage hall when its roof collapsed, killing her on the spot. Five other people were also injured in the incident.
Meanwhile, Rohi Amjad was laid to rest at Ghoray Shah graveyard. People from different walks of life, including MNA Ch Riazul Haq Juj, former MNAs Ch Sajjadul Hassan, Ch Muhammad Arif and PTI leader Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sohna, attended the funeral prayers.
DONATIONS: PML-N MNA Moeen Wattoo has granted Rs 18.6 million to the district bar association for construction of its library.
He has also donated Rs 1 million for library of the Renala Khurd Tehsil Bar Association.
An industrialist, Dr Malik Muhammad Aslam, donated Rs 1 million to the DBA for its library. Meanwhile, DBA president Rai Muhammad Arshad Raza and general secretary Naeem Chaudhry thanked them.
