LAHORE:Punjab Social Security has announced the launch of neurosurgery services at Nawaz Sharif Social Security Hospital (NSSSH) on Multan Road.
The decision was made during a high-level meeting chaired by Commissioner Social Security M Ali at the head office on Friday. The meeting was attended by Vice Commissioner Dr Zulfiqar Ali Kharl, Medical Advisor Dr Humaira Buzdar, and other senior officials, who reviewed the progress and future plans for neurosurgery services.
He announced that neurosurgery services will soon commence at the NSSSH, with funds already allocated for the project. This decision follows the successful spinal surgery conducted at the Social Security Hospital in Madina Town, Faisalabad - the first in Punjab Social Security’s history.
During the meeting, officials briefed the commissioner about the recent successful spinal surgery performed on patient Rukhsana, the wife of a registered worker. The procedure saved her from paralysis, addressing severe back and leg pain. Commissioner commended the hospital staff and the neurosurgery team for their outstanding performance.
