Schoolgirl, father hurt as dumper hits motorcycle

A female matriculation student and her father were seriously injured when a dumper collided with their motorcycle near Nagan Chowrangi in District Central on Thursday.

The accident occurred when Moin Shaikh was returning home with his 14-year-old daughter, Nabiha Shaikh, after picking her up from school. As they were travelling near Nagan Chowrangi, dumper struck their motorcycle.

Both Moin Shaikh and his daughter, a Grade IX student, sustained significant injuries. The victims were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. Police officials stated that the dumper driver fled the scene after the collision. An investigation was underway, and authorities were actively searching for the driver. As of the filing of this report, no case had been registered.
