Directive to complete 10 sports schemes by Dec 30
LAHORE:Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial has directed the officers concerned to complete the 10 sports schemes by December 30, 2024. He issued these directions while chairing a meeting at the Punjab Stadium on Thursday.
DG Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal and Additional Secretary Sports Mian Usman Ali attended the meeting in person while all Project Management officers participated in the meeting online.
The CM Internship Programme and 158 under-construction sports facilities of the province were also reviewed in detail during the meeting. Addressing the meeting, Secretary Youth Affairs said that 131 new schemes, 58 ongoing and Khelta Punjab sports schemes are being constructed across the province. “There will be no compromise on quality in the construction of sports stadiums,” he warned.
He further said that the phase one project of Punjab Stadium expansion is being completed while the phase two project will be started soon. “Kabaddi stadium in Sahiwal and Synthetic Hockey Turf Stadium in DG Khan have been completed,” he informed.
He said that the best infrastructure has been built in the Punjab province. “Khelta Punjab sports schemes should be completed as per given time frame,” he directed the officers concerned.
Meanwhile, DG Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal while addressing a meeting, has directed all the sports officers concerned to give daily allowance and refreshments to all the players participating in Khelta Punjab Games. He said that the exciting competitions of Khelta Punjab Games are under way in all the divisions and the best facilities are being provided to the participating players.
