Man kills cousin over property

LAHORE:A man shot dead his cousin over a land dispute in Dhonday village of Raiwind City on Thursday. Reportedly, accused Shahid exchanged harsh words with Asghar over a family land ownership dispute and shot him dead on the spot.

Robber injured by accomplice’s firing

A robbery attempt in Ghaziabad took a dramatic turn when one robber accidentally shot his accomplice during a confrontation with a shopkeeper. The injured suspect, identified as Muhammad Kashif, was taken into police custody and shifted to a hospital, while his partner managed to escape.

According to details, the incident occurred when the robbers attempted to loot a shop. During the heist, shopkeeper Hafeez-ur-Rehman resisted, prompting one of the robbers to open fire. In the chaos, the bullet struck Kashif instead of the intended target.

Police arrived promptly at the scene, collected evidence, and registered a case based on the shopkeeper's complaint. Authorities have launched a search operation to apprehend the escaped suspect.

Murder suspect held

Old Anarkali police Thursday arrested a murder suspect.

According to a police spokesperson, accused Ramazan was wanted by police on charges of killing his neighbour in Nawan Kot locality over a petty issue three years ago. Later, the accused was handed over to Nawan Kot Investigation Police.
