Why just us?
It is always sad to see an internet shutdown in Islamabad every now and again. In this modern era, everything is dependent on the internet. From lectures to assignments and even online appointments with doctors, we are completely dependent on the internet. Yet the government does not bring proper legislation to control this issue. Every time, the interior ministry implies that internet shutdowns are due to security threats, however, my question is why it does not happen in any other progressive country?
Why don’t they think about suspending the internet every now and again? I think it’s high time that the government come up with solutions which can actually help in eradicating security threats rather than taking the shortcut of shutting down the internet and making millions of people suffer.
