CHARSADDA: Awami National Party (ANP) President Senator Aimal Wali Khan on Wednesday criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and accused them of exploiting their workers for personal gains.

Speaking at a press conference at Wali Bagh in Charsadda, he alleged that PTI leaders abandoned their workers at critical moment during the protest to ensure own safety.

“The PTI leadership is playing with the lives of its workers,” said Aimal Wali. “The Pakhtuns are being manipulated for personal interests,” he added, criticizing PTI for using its workers in their quest for power in Islamabad and Punjab.

Aimal Wali questioned the absence of Punjab-based workers in the recent PTI protests. He expressed alarm over the deteriorating security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in Kurram district.

The ANP leader claimed that PTI leadership had no real intention of securing Imran Khan’s release from jail. “They seem more interested in prolonging the chaos,” he said.Dismissing the idea of the governor’s rule as a solution, Aimal Wali raised questions about Ali Amin Gandapur’s activities in a cantonment for six months before the last general election. He warned the PTI workers and leaders to stay vigilant about Imran Khan’s wife.
