Two arrested as arms, stolen bikes recovered in Takhtbhai swoop

TAKHTBHAI: The local police conducted a search and targeted operation in the remote areas of Lundkhwar and Kharki police stations and apprehended several suspected persons during the action.

The operation, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shergarh Circle, Noordaraz Khan along with the station house officers (SHOs) of the respective police stations and lady police, was conducted at Jangah, Tail Chowk, Sirai, Moti Banda, Ilyasi Khandao, Doda Baba, Musafir Killay, Kaloshah, Khado and other sensitive locations.

The police thoroughly searched criminals’ hideouts, suspicious locations and unfrequented routes being used by outlaws and arrested suspected persons and impounded vehiclesHowever, some of the suspects and vehicles were released after verification.

DSP Noordaraz said that all possible measures would be taken to ensure safety of people and their property and maintain peace and order.He also appealed to the people to cooperate with the police in identifying individuals involved in criminal activities.

Meanwhile, a police party led by SHO Salamat Khan recovered three stolen motorcycles and arrested two alleged auto thieves in the limits of Shergarh Police Station.

The arrested suspects were identified as Mohammad Ismail and Owais, residents of Batkhela. During the operation, three stolen motorcycles were also recovered from the suspects’ possession.

Also, search and strike operation was carried out in the jurisdiction of Takhtbhai Police Station, which was supervised by SDPO Shakeel Khan.The police conducted operation Mandori, Afzalabad, Dago Baba and other locations besides searching 25 houses of tenants.

The police claimed to have seized three pistols, 35 cartridges and 25 unregistered motorcycles during the action. Similarly, seven and four persons were arrested under Section 107/151 and under Section 55/109, respectively.

The police appealed to the people to register the details of their tenants at the nearest police station or else action would be taken against owners of houses and tenants under relevant sections of law.
