ISLAMABAD: Brigadier Muhammad Younis has been appointed as General Manager (Admin) of the Karachi Port Trust, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
His appointment has been made for three years on a secondment basis with the approval of the federal cabinet under the prevailing rules and regulations. Zafar Abbas, Additional Secretary, Petroleum Division, and Secretariat Group’s grade 21 officer, has been transferred to the Establishment Division as OSD. According to sources, Federal Minister Petroleum Musadik Malik is unhappy with his performance. The deputation of Fariha Ali Randhawa, a grade 19 officer of the Pakistan Audit and Accounts Group, has been extended by one year as Director Finance, Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Lahore.
Zal Huma, a grade 18 officer of OMG, awaiting appointment, has been posted as Section Officer, Planning and Development Division. Establishment Division Deputy Secretary Amjad Naseer has taken leave for 100 days, effective from November 27, 2024.
