Over Rs6bn uplift schemes approved

LAHORE:In its 47th meeting of the fiscal year 2024-25, the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved two development schemes amounting to Rs6.458 billion. Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman, Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan chaired the meeting.
The meeting was attended by P&D Board Secretary Dr Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Masood Anwar, members of the P&D Board, and other senior officials. The approved schemes included concrete lining of irrigation channels to improve water delivery performance and conveyance efficiency-III at the cost of Rs3.995 billion and construction of a flyover to connect with Industrial Area-II Gujrat Link Road in District Gujrat at the cost of Rs2.464 billion.
