PESHAWAR: The Information Officers Association has expressed the hope that the newly appointed director general of Information would build strong communication between the provincial government and the media.
In a press release, the association welcomed the appointment of Saleem Khan as Director General of Information and lauded the provincial government’s decision.It said the officer would help provide accurate information and modernize the operations of the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations in line with contemporary needs.
The association said that Saleem Khan was well aware of the challenges and grievances faced by the employees of the Directorate General of Information.The office-bearers hoped that he would resolve the issues of the employees.
They said the new DG would utilize his expertise to meet the longstanding demand for an information allowance. The officers expressed the hope that Saleem Khan would use his experience as a director to address the concerns of the journalist community.
