BANNU: Four police posts were dismantled due to the volatile situation in the Wazir subdivision in Bannu district on Monday.Sources said that the Bannu police had wrapped up four police checkpoints.
The checkpoints in Tanga, Kanda, Nasrikhel and Tora Taka were wound up and the personnel moved to the nearby posts.According to sources, these police checkpoints were deemed insecure, which led to their closure.District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmad said that these posts were neither necessary nor effective, which was why these were removed.
