District administration retrieved 23 kanal state land worth millions of rupees from illegal occupants in Wazirabad
GUJRANWALA: A man was shot dead over a land dispute in Cantt police limits.
A land dispute was going on between M Ilyas and Gulfam. On Sunday, Ilyas along with his son was going home when their rivals Gulfam, Riaz and Asad allegedly opened fire at them. As a result, Ilyas was killed on the spot. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
State land retrieved: The district administration has retrieved 23 kanal state land worth millions of rupees from illegal occupants in Wazirabad.
On the directions of the Punjab government, the district administration team under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Rab Nawaz Chadhar conducted an operation at village Chopra and got the land retrieved from the illegal occupants. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmad said that no one would be allowed to occupy the state land.
