KOHAT: About 38 passengers, who had got stranded at Kacha Pakka during violence, were safely evacuated and shifted to their native towns in Kohat and other places.
Talking to reporters, former union council chairman and tribal elder Ashfaq Bangash said that the stranded passengers included 11 women and 27 men, who were hailing from Kohat and other cities. He said that the passengers got stranded during the protests and arson that took place the previous day against the violence and killing of dozens of people in Kurram. He said the passengers were traveling towards Hangu when stranded in Kacha Pakka and Mohammad Zai and area; however, they were safely evacuated and transported to their native towns.
