LAHORE: The Pakistan Swimming Federation (PSF) on Sunday elected its new office-bearers during the Elective General Council meeting held at a local hotel here. The newly elected officials will serve a four-year term from 2025 to 2028.
Major (retd) Majid Waseem has been elected as Chairman while Zoraiz Lashari will serve as President of the federation. Yasmin Arshad has been appointed as Senior Vice President, alongside four Vice Presidents Brigadier Mujtaba Haider, Commodore Mazhar Bashir SI(M), Farooq Ahmed and Brigadier (retd) Rizwan Rafi.Lt Col (retd) Ahmed Ali Khan was elected as Secretary General with Muhammad Atif Shafiq taking the role of Treasurer. The federation’s leadership structure also includes three Associate Secretaries Lt Col Saeed Ahmed Khan (Retd), Daniyal Lashari, and Raunak Lakhani.
The executive committee comprises six members i.e. Danish Lakhani, Asad Malik, Mrs. Sadia Omar, Sohail Asghar, Rizwan Inayat Ullah, and Muhammad Hafeez Bhatti. Mrs. Fatima Lakhani has been designated as Life Member.The Pakistan Swimming Federation, which is affiliated with World Aquatics (WA), Asian Aquatics (AA), South Asian Swimming Federation (SASF), Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), will operate under this new leadership to promote and develop swimming in Pakistan.
