ISLAMABAD: Chief of Malaysian Royal Air Force General Mohammad Asghar Khan, who was on an official visit to Pakistan, at the end of his engagements visited his native Haripur in a private capacity and met his relatives.
Gohar Aman, the father of General Mohammad Asghar Khan, retired from officer rank in Malaysia Police.
General Muhammad Asghar Khan, the chief of Malaysian Royal Air Force, who is of Pakistani origin, paid a short visit to his native Beir, Haripur, on Saturday, during which he visited graves of his grandfather the late Malik Qalandar Khan, uncle Malik Yaqub, cousin Hafiz Ramiz and grandmother and recited Fateha for the deceased. His visit lasted for two hours during which he also met his relatives.
Muhammad Asghar Khan’s grandfather Malik Qalandar Khan went to Malaysia before the establishment of Pakistan, where Muhammad Asghar Khan’s father Gohar Aman and uncle Malik Muhammad Yaqub were born. Mohammad Asghar Khan’s father Gohar Aman retired as an officer in the Malaysian Police. During the short visit, his wife was also with him, whose native area is also Haripur.
