Suspect killed as house robbery foiled in Gulistan-e-Jauhar
A robber was killed while attempting to rob a house in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area on Saturday. Three armed robbers broke into a house in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 15. The homeowner, Mumtaz, however, fired at the robbers, critically injuring one, while the other two managed to flee. Following the incident, a crowd also gathered and attacked the in jured robber with sticks and rods, exacerbating his condition. The robber succumbed to his injuries on his way to hospital. A weapon was also seized from his possession. According to the homeowner, the robbers entered the house by posing as labourers. He said when one of the robbers attempted to overpower him, he managed to defend himself. Police said they were trying to identify the deceased robber and raids were going on to arrest the fleeing suspects.
