Two bike thieves arrested

LAHORE : Lohari Gate Investigation police arrested two bike thieves and recovered 14 stolen bikes from their possession. The accused were identified as Irfan and Ali.

Manga Mandi police arrested three bootleggers namely Afzal, Ghulam Mohiuddin, and Babar and recovered 10 liters of alcohol and two pistols from them. Shahdara Town police arrested eight gamblers from whom cash amounting to Rs160,000, mobile phones, and playing cards used in gambling were seized.

Three injured in lift collapse

Three construction workers sustained injuries when a lift collapsed due to overloading at a building site near Akbar Chowk, on Saturday, Rescue 1122 reported.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred during ongoing construction at a car showroom. The lift, unable to bear the weight, gave way, resulting in the workers falling from a significant height.

Rescue 1122 personnel promptly responded, providing emergency medical assistance on-site before transporting the injured to Jinnah Hospital. The injured were identified as 28-year-old Mumtaz, 26-year-old Allah Ditta, and 33-year-old Qasim.
