LAHORE : A farewell ceremony was held in the honour of three medical teachers - Prof Dr Tahir Rashid, Prof Dr Seema Mazher and Prof Dr Ajmal Farooq - who retired after completing their tenure at the Postgraduate Medical Institute, Ameer Uddin Medical College and Lahore General Hospital on Saturday.
Principal PGMI Prof Dr Al-Freed Zafar, MS Dr Faryad Hussain, faculty members, doctors, health professionals and relatives of the retiring professors attended the farewell ceremony. Prof Al-Freed Zafar said that a dignified retirement is no less than a great honour for any government employee. He said that teachers play an important role in training generations, shaping future doctors and medical experts so their services will always be remembered, he added. He said it will continue to help young doctors in their practical lives and will prove to be invaluable in helping them become good physicians.
