LAHORE : ‘Hailey Research Week 2024,’ a significant event aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry, concluded at the Punjab University Hailey College of Commerce (HCC) on Saturday.
The week-long event featured a series of discussions, presentations, and workshops addressing the pressing economic challenges faced by Pakistan's business sector. Besides Dean Faculty of Commerce Prof Dr Mubbsher Munawar Khan, Principal HCC Prof Dr Hafiz Zafar Ahmad, and President Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry Mian Abuzar Shad, delegates from the USA, Dubai, and various universities across Pakistan, along with economists, industrialists, educationists, faculty members, and students, were also in attendance. In his address, Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Ali emphasised the importance of universities in providing solutions to industrial problems and highlighted the need for collective efforts to overcome the country's economic crisis.
