LAHORE : Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Tahir Farooq has directed Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (TEPA) to ensure implementation of parking agreements with the commercial ventures.
LDA DG visited TEPA on Saturday and got a briefing from Chief Engineer TEPA Iqrar Hussain on the ongoing reforms and performance in a meeting. The meeting reviewed the enforcement of parking rules in the LDA-controlled areas of the provincial capital and working of TEPA Enforcement Wing.
Implementing parking rules in the city should be the top priority of TEPA, LDA DG said adding a solid mechanism should be made for the enforcement of parking rules on the main commercial highways of the city.
LDA DG further ordered that the LDA Town Planning Wing and TEPA should jointly formulate a user-friendly mechanism. Implementation of the building plan of commercial properties should be ensured within the stipulated period of three years after approval, he directed.
Chief Engineer TEPA also briefed the LDA DG on patchwork and repair and maintenance works in the meeting. A special campaign was underway to remove illegal signboards in the city, he told and also gave a briefing in the meeting about the ongoing and proposed projects of the Road Safety Plan on various important highways of the city.
