Karachi is struggling with the debilitating effects of loadshedding. Frequent power outages are disrupting daily life, hindering economic growth, and testing the patience of citizens. Small businesses are suffering, hospitals are compromised, and students are unable to study effectively. The elderly are particularly affected, as they rely heavily on electricity for essential medical equipment.
I urge the authorities to invest in renewable energy, minimise power losses, implement efficient load management systems, provide timely and accurate schedules for loadshedding, and offer incentives for households and businesses to adopt energy-efficient practices.
