PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) provincial president Mian Iftikhar Hussain on Friday held those responsible for the fresh wave of terror who had allegedly facilitated the return of terrorists to the country.

In a video message, he alleged that the Malakand division, merged and southern districts of the province were handed over to the terrorists. “You will see terrorism if terrorists are brought back? “ he added.

Commenting on the fresh terror acts in the province, he said these were being done under a plot.

Expressing extreme grief over the killing of over 40 people in the firing at passenger vehicles in Kurram district recently, he asked why the convoy was not protected. He questioned how those who killed so many people escaped after committing the brutal act.

Mian Iftikhar said Dera Ismail Khan was the native district of the governor, chief minister and the provincial police chief but had been turned into a no-go area.

“Law and order is not a priority with the provincial government. The rulers want to bring the PTI founder out of jail while the federal government is intent on keeping him behind bars,” he explained.

Mian Iftikhar said the KP and federal government were not serious about stamping out terrorism.” We will have to change our domestic and foreign policies to end terrorism,” he suggested.
