At least eight people were killed and six others were injured in various accidents across the city on Friday.

A seven-year-old girl named Ayan and her 25-year-old uncle Irfan lost their lives, while two others, Labal Sheikh and Muhammad Sheikh, were injured.

Police reports said the victims were travelling on two motorcycles from Sea View when one of the motorcycles was struck by a trailer. The trailer, which had come from behind, ran over the victims after the motorcycle slipped.

Authorities arrested the driver of the trailer and discovered bottles of alcohol and beer in the vehicle, suggesting that the driver might have been intoxicated. However, the driver fled the scene, and efforts were ongoing to locate him.

A pedestrian named Ali Hassan, aged around 35, was struck by a fast-moving vehicle in the Manghopir area near Raees Center. He later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, and his body was handed over to his family. In Shah Latif Town, a man, believed to be around 22 years old, died after being hit by a speeding vehicle near Hanif Hotel. He was taken to JPMC, but his identity had not yet been confirmed.

In Surjani Town, 45-year-old Rukhsana died from electrocution while working in a house near Makki Masjid. Her body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Meanwhile, in the Malir City area, a 40-year-old man named Amir was electrocuted while working in a house in Abdullah Goth.
