LAHORE: The Pakistan Chess Federation (PCF), under the leadership of its President Hanif Qureshi, is intensifying efforts to promote chess as an educational and extracurricular activity across the country.
As part of these initiatives, chess seminars and competitions are being organised in various cities.
A delegation led by Hanif Qureshi met Commissioner Lahore Division Zaid Bin Maqsood to discuss strategies for integrating chess into educational institutions.
Qureshi emphasised the federation’s commitment to organising chess seminars and competitions for students in schools and colleges, aiming to nurture mental and analytical skills through the game.
Commissioner Lahore expressed support for these initiatives, recognising the positive impact of co-curricular activities on students’ overall development.
