ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has dismissed Yasin Saleemi, Additional Secretary of National Assembly after an inquiry found the official guilty of misconduct.
Notification of his appointment as Director General and Senior Director General Editing has been declared null and void, while the orders passed by him have also been declared illegal.
Earlier, Yasin Salimi was demoted to the rank of Deputy Secretary. The Speaker also issued an order to withdraw the benefits and salaries from Yasin Saleemi.
Allegations against Yasin Saleemi came to light on June 4, 2024. He did not appear before the inquiry committee formed by the Speaker.
