At last, the Punjab Assembly took the initiative and adopted and passed the long awaited agricultural income tax bill. It is expected that this tax will be collected from the big agriculturists.
Other provinces should follow suit soon and pass this kind of bill to increase tax collection from big agricultural landowners. This will help maximise the tax to GDP ratio in Pakistan, which is the need of the hour.
