PESHAWAR: Alkhidmat Foundation commenced free IT courses and online business classes for youth in the provincial capital under its ‘Bano Qabil’ programme.
International cricketer Fakhar Zaman inaugurated the first IT centre in Nishtarabad at the Alkhidmat Foundation’s district office.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Khalid Waqas, provincial president Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan President Prof Dr. Hafeezur Rahman, along with provincial Vice-President Tajul Maluk, Arbab Abdul Haseeb and Malik Parvez Khan also attended the opening ceremony.
This new initiative follows the success of the Bano Qabil programme in cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. Over 65,000 students in Peshawar have already signed up for the courses, part of a nationwide goal to train one million students, with 300,000 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa alone.
The first phase of the programme will focus on IT centers in divisional headquarters across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with plans to expand to more districts in the future.
