Security steps for power projects reviewed
MANSEHRA: The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Hazara Range, Tahir Ayub Khan said on Wednesday that foreign nationals executing development projects across the division were being provided with foolproof security.
“We have doubled the security for Chinese nationals working on various hydropower projects, particularly in the upper parts of the Hazara Division,” he told reporters after reviewing the security arrangements for Chinese workers at Asia’s largest under-construction grid station in the Lassan Nawab area.
Accompanied by District Police Officer Shafiullah Khan Gandapur and other heads of law enforcement agencies, the DIG visited the project’s work sites and residential colonies.
He expressed satisfaction with the multi-layered security measures implemented across the project’s extensive boundaries.
