MANSEHRA: The police department launched a crackdown on Wednesday against illegal minibus terminals and traffic violations.
“We have initiated a crackdown on traffic violations and shut down unauthorised minibus terminals operating without legal authority,” Waheed Khan, the deputy superintendent of police (DSP), told reporters. He said that the owners of illegal minibus terminals in the city and its suburbs had previously been served with notices and those who failed to comply now had their terminals closed.
Khan added that during the crackdown, vehicles with tinted windows and pressure horns were seized, and drivers were fined for violations. “We have also impounded motorcycles being ridden by underage bikers,” he said.
