Islamabad: The convocation 2024 for the Faculty of Engineering & IT and Faculty of Management Sciences, Foundation University School of Science and Technology (FUSST), held at Topi Rakh Galaxy Hall, says a press release. Dr. Samar Mubarakmand, Nuclear Physicist, Adviser SPD/Chairman Punjab Mineral Company (PMC), Nishan-e-Imtiaz, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The Rector, Major General (r) Muhammad Kaleem Asif, HI (M), and Pro Rector/Director Brig (r) Dr. Abdul Ghafoor, Foundation University School of Science and Technology, were also present.A total of 537 students were awarded degrees, including 9 gold medals, 9 silver medals, 31 certificates of distinction, and 37 merit certificates.
Pro Rector/Director Foundation University School of Science & Technology (FUSST) presented the annual report. He highlighted that FUSST continues to expand its academic offerings to meet the demands of a rapidly changing world. New programs such as FinTech, Business Analytics, and Engineering Technology have been introduced, and the accreditation body doubled seats for Computer Science and IET programs. He proudly announced the addition of Computer Engineering and shared that PhD enrolments have reached 132, with the number of PhD graduates totalling 112.
The Director, Foundation University School of Science & Technology also shared the University’s vision for a flagship campus to provide state-of-the-art facilities for academics, research, and extracurricular activities. He emphasized FUSST’s active role in fostering entrepreneurship through its Business Incubation Centre and creating linkages with local and
global organizations for internships, industrial placements, and higher studies.
