LAHORE : The Punjab government has approved the installation of smart water filtration machines at prominent places to pride clean drinking water across the province.
On the special instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the plan to supply clean water stepped forward.
In this regard, a Malaysian delegation visited Punjab Clean Pani Authority head office here along with the sample of water purification machines.
The delegation was headed by the Chief Executive of the Malaysian Group, Ananthraj Appanan.
On this occasion, Punjab Clean Water Authority Chief Executive Officer Syed Zahid Aziz, Chairman Chaudhry Zahid Akram and other senior officers were present.
Punjab Clean Pani Authority Chairman Chaudhry Zahid Akram disclosed that the Punjab government was bringing a revolutionary plan for the people of the province.
Smart water filtration units will be installed at the prominent public places, said CEO Syed Zahid Aziz, adding water filtration machines will be installed in hospitals and educational institutions on a priority basis.
Syed Zahid Aziz expressed that after this a network of mobile filtration machines will be installed in the entire province considering the most deprived areas of clean drinking water, especially in rural areas. Syed Zahid Aziz added that clean drinking water bottles would be provided at recreational places at a very low price from the market.
‘Mobile water filtration machine is environment friendly and conforms to global standards,’ Syed Zahid Aziz claimed and said water filtration units provide clean water with a capacity of 400 gallons per day and 60 litres per hour and these mobile water units have all the features of advanced filtration technologies.
