‘Promoting healthy trends among youth top priority’

LAHORE : Healthy trends and activities are being promoted among the youth across the province in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Punjab Youth and Sports Department is using all resources to engage younger generation in constructive activities.

Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Director General Khizar Afzaal expressed these views on Wednesday while congratulating Punjab athletes over their selection for Inter-Provincial Quaid-i-Azam Games.

Nishtar Park Sports Complex (NPSC) Gymnasium Hall hosted male and female table tennis trials for the selection of Sports Board Punjab team. The selected teams will participate in the Inter-Provincial Quaid-i-Azam Games scheduled to be organised at Islamabad from December 13 to 19, 2024.

A large number of male and female athletes from all divisions of the province appeared in the trials held under the supervision of expert coaches.

Out of them, 16 male and female players have been selected to represent Sports Board Punjab in the grand event. Khizar Afzaal greeted the selected players and said that all the trials are being conducted purely on merit.
